Hvem ødelagde Storbrittanien?
The I Paper har en sorgmunter artikelserie kaldet "Who Broke Britain?".
Dagens svar er The American woman who ripped the heart out of Cadbury.
Under Irene Rosenfeld’s direction, Cadbury shareholders were told jobs would be safe, integrity would be preserved, and quality would be assured. And absolutely none of that turned out to be true.
Artiklen er oprørt og velskrevet, og husker os samtidig på, at der faktisk var flinke, møgrige producenter til engang - også hos konkurrenten Rowntree.
In my humble opinion, the person who broke Britain is Irene Rosenfeld, the American businesswoman, who was the executive chair of US company Kraft Foods when they launched a hostile takeover of Cadbury in 2010. And not just her; all the soulless underlings who sallied forth to do her bidding – but I’m only allowed to blame the current state of the UK on one person in this article, so Irene, it is.
