Ultrapersonligt it- og kulturstof for noble fritænkere
"Somebody's go' win.
"Somebody's go' win. Somebody's go' lose. They both might lose, but hey, did you do your job? Hell yeah!" The classroom erupts in laughter.
We could try to break up a fight if we wanted, he says, but since we won't have pepper spray or a nightstick, he wouldn't recommend it. "We are not going to pay you that much," he says emphatically. "The next raise you get is not going to be much more than the one you got last time. The only thing that's important to us is that we go home at the end of the day. Period. So if them fools want to cut each other, well, happy cutting."
Lidt mere let sommerferielæsning.
Private prisons are shrouded in secrecy. I took a job as a guard to get inside?then things got crazy
This is the biggest investigation we?ve ever published.

Three strikes er selvfølgelig jackpot. Livstidskunder: http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2011/06/23/251363/cca-geogroup-prison-industry/
Men solid research må man sige.
Fantastisk old skool journalistik.
Steven Snedker YES! The memo directs department officials not to renew existing contracts or to "substantially reduce" their scope, with the goal of "reducing—and ultimately ending—our use of privately operated prisons."
On the federal level I guess...
Peter Lyberth - But Yates’ action isn’t the only important part of the federal government ending the practice of outsourcing prisons to corporations. Her damning assessment of the private prison industry on behalf of Obama’s Justice Department will serve as factual evidence for state-level political activists seeking to end the practice forever.

Yeah, but nothing will be forced on the states. It has to be driven by activists...
Oligarkerne kæmper stadig for private fængsler.
