Brian Blessed fylder 90 år

“I love myself more than I love Rosalind – or my wife! I can’t wait to wake up in the morning and be me. I look in the bathroom mirror and I’m a cross between a yeti and a gorilla. But I love it. On mountains in the Himalayas, the sherpas call me Big Yeti. I love it that I’ve got a 55-inch chest.”

The sets are marvellous, too. Everyone’s perfectly cast. It’s a masterpiece of colour, design and acting, with a wonderful comic-strip style. They must never, ever entertain redoing it. There’s always some tosser who wants to repeat things, but they won’t ever better it, so they’d better keep their bloody hands off.

But you think, “How does he keep going? Does he conk out in private?” Well, I’ve seen him in private – I spent two-and-a-half months with him and he didn’t seem to conk out.

Som Imogen Stubbs siger det: "His booming voice creates its own weather system".

En fornøjelse selv under corona og billiardkonkurrencer.
