It found that not one publisher reported earning more money through Instant Articles than they did through their own properties. “We make less money on Instant Articles than we do on mobile web, which is probably everyone’s experience,” said Bill Carey, director of audience development at Slate."
Facebook Instant Articles har ikke rigtig været et hit for udgivere. I Vertikal advarede vi også mod at blive fæstbønder og mod at klippe artiklernes lange hale af. Da det gik allerbedst kunne en Facebook Instant Article lige opnå lidt bedre tal på publiceringsdagen. Men det her med at trække 70.000 læsere på første år er kun noget man kan gøre ude på det frie web.
Artiklen her fortæller også at Google AMP giver udgiverne 7% af trafikken. Vi har dog enndu ikke haft en kunde, der ville have rigtig glæde af AMP. Det kræver at man er international og ikke rigtig selv kan finde ud af at lave hurtige mobilsider.
Status: Facebook Instant Articles og Google AMP er ingen redning. Tværtimod.
